smoked salmon & chèvre crêpe

I went to the health food store on my never ending search for almond butter today. I intended on just buying the almond butter but ended up with smoked salmon, crème fraîche, fromage de chèvre, and crêpes. Because of my French class I am really starting to be more efficient at le supermarché! Pretty exciting!

I bought crêpes in the store... I won't do this again for my 'ideal taste's sake' but..., it happened.  One of my goals this week is to make a beautiful french crêpe (preferably a savory one...)! First, because I have had a Nutella overload in the past few weeks but am also interested to try out something new! We'll see how it goes.

This is a very similar idea to the picture below which work GREAT as appetizers. *photo from summertime

Recipe and Directions:

Inside: Goat cheese and smoked salmon. Plop a bit of butter into the pan.. heat the crêpe (or make your very own), cover half with slices of goat cheese and smoked salmon. Fold over two times to make the triangular shape. Cover and let it cook, maybe with a bit more butter :) On top: Crème fraîche, capers, and some lemon juice
