prep work for dinner party
This is a simple recipe but it adds great flavor. You can use it on white fish or even chicken. In my case, I used these bread crumbs for the Haddock.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup Panko bread crumbs
3-4 tablespoons of butter
1 1/2 teaspoons of lemon zest (or zest from one lemon)
Parsley to taste (fresh or dried)
Directions:
In a large skillet melt the butter. Add the panko crumbs coating them in the butter until golden brown. Add the zest and parsley. Yep, that's it. You can make the bread crumbs up to a day in advance and store in a zip locked bag.
To bread the fish crack an egg in a shallow bowl, adding a few tablespoons of milk. Whisk the egg and milk then dip the fish fillets. Once they are dipped in the milk/egg you can bread the fish.
